The Sony Ericsson X10 mini pro includes the Timescape application which allows the user to keep up with Facebook, Twitter, text messages and calls all in one place. While the home screen offers the ability to drag and drop icons of favourite applications into the corners of the TFT touchscreen to allow fast and easy access to them.
The handset has the Facebook application also, and offers a range of messaging capabilities including text-message like conversations, instant messaging, as well as normal text and picture messaging. It also includes Exchange ActiveSync which updates from a Microsoft Exchange email box.
The phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera with a light photo flash, which can help to take a good picture in poor light conditions, along with autofocus and geo-tagging. Video recording with a video light are also featured. Pictures can be shared and a favourite can be picked as the wallpaper when the phone is in standby mode.
For entertainment, this handset offers YouTube, video streaming and 3D games visually. Audibly, it offers the Sony Ericsson music player and TrackID which recognises a few recorded seconds of a song and downloads what track it is, its album and all the information, to the phone. Bluetooth stereo A2DP is also featured.
The GPS offered by this handset is enhanced by Wisepilot navigation which takes the user turn-by-turn where they are going, to easily reach that important meeting destination. Google Maps is also on standby to help, along with Google search and or more detailed information, the X10 mini pro offers a full HTML web browser, all through its WiFi high-speed internet connection.
The phone has a QWERTY keyboard for easy text input, and whatever is on screen, can be auto rotated between portrait and landscape. Navigation is made easy through an intuitive touchscreen, while other organising tools such as a calculator and calendar are also included. The phone memory is 128 megabytes, but the micrSD slot supports up to 16 GB of removable storage to add.
The Sony Ericsson X10 mini pro is an impressive handset which offers both touchscreen easy navigation, while a full keyboard is present for easy input. Life is made easier thanks to features such as Timescape which tells the user what's happening through one button, and Wisepilot which will help the user to find their way. Meanwhile, standard features such as good messaging, video and music have not been left out, and its easy to take good photos and share them with friends with great ease.
