Pure Ski

Skiing was not something that I did a lot of growing up in the big city. Not too many mountains lined the horizon outside my back porch, porch or for that matter. Our skiing experience is usually limited too small a few mountains in northern New Hampshire, or if we really want a gift, we want to make the two hour trip more to Maine or better yet Vermont.
I started flirting with the idea of trying to ski in the west about two years ago, when a childhood friend was there for business and was surprised to find a different kind of experience. The snow seemed more 'white', as he said, and much softer (yes, Ski our vernacular could turn heads!) The area was also visited Colorado Crested Butte, right along the river valley del Este in Gunnison County.
Hailed as the "city of the last great Colorado ski resort, Crested Butte has more than just skiing, or snowboarding depending on your age. adventurous nature lovers and outdoor love it here because this is what this place is. They host a number summer festivals, including arts festivals, mountain bike festival, a rubber duck race and a wildflower festival. Just a quick side note, helping to attract more wild flower lover in you, the town is nicknamed "Wildflower Capital of Colorado". But skiing is its foray. With mountains rising to an astonishing 12,162 feet above sea level, its no wonder that the U.S. Extreme Skiing Championship and the X Games have called this place home in more than one occasion. 14 elevators serving a 1, 058 hectares, 448 hectares of that total are double black runs … a nerve tingling experience that is far more advanced that this "skier" concerned to take!
Like everything else these days is no immediate reaction like going to places like Crested Butte, but exactly how … as in How do I pay to go. I've talked to others about him, and is not "too far or too difficult to reach." However, just a quick plane trip from Denver. Unless you're like my friend and have a nice workshop in this beautiful place, might be a bit difficult to find a good deal. I have, because that's what I do, which is a perfect agreement.
