Choosing the right frame and MAT can greatly enhance the overall appearance of the artwork and complement the décor of your room.
There are some reasons for the development of his art piece. First, prevent the artwork from dust and dirt, but also preserves and extends the life of the artwork, and prevents the discoloration and maintenance of damage over time. Aesthetically, a framework also makes the artwork more presentable, and help bring attention to the artwork.

Find a frame color that contrasts the color of the wall. For example, in a pastel-colored wall, a frame of dark brown or black, as it will do well. In my opinion, black or brown are the colors of choice popular frameworks, but sometimes metallic colors like gold and silver do very well, so everything depends on the theme of the decor of your home. Never choose a strong color such as red or yellow as the color of the frame. In my experience, the colors almost never always look good as frames. Unless you are developing a mouse image Mickey in the playroom of your child, avoid these colors as the plate.

Finding a framework to complement the art, not compete with it. The design of the structure also must match the environment, for example, a table with lots of intricate carvings can be attractive sight, but may not be suitable for modern and contemporary home. Such frameworks would do well in a Victorian style decor. If you're looking for a framework for internal contemporary, you should choose one that is simple and minimalist.
A framed work of art consists of several components, namely, the art piece itself, the framework, exterior glass surface that is placed over the artwork to protect it, and a mat. The framework itself is quite simple. Most of them are of wood, although some that are metal.
The layer of clear protective glass is glass or acrylic. Acrylic, better known as Plexiglas, is recommended because of its lightness and impact resistance. Acrylics can offer higher quality and improved features, such as non-glare and UV protection, providing protection even more for his artwork.
The carpet is used for 2 main reasons, which serves as a support for the work of art, to keep the art piece that is damaged through bending and folding. It also creates a layer of separation between the artwork and the glass so the glass is not directly "touch" the artwork, damaging in the long term. Most framed artworks come with a single mat layer, although you can choose to have double, even triple mat layers. Having mats triple add additional depth to the artwork.
When choosing a flat color, you may want to go with a neutral color, like white, cream, ivory, sandstone, pearl, gray and black. Mat neutral colors, not just in the background to help improve and guide the viewer's attention to the artwork itself, but can be easily fit into any room, without seeming out of place.
As a general rule, choose a color that is lighter than the lightest color in his work of art, no darker than the darkest and no brighter than the brightest. In this way the carpet will be brighter that the artwork and steal attention away from it. Light-colored carpets tend to make the image appear larger and your perception more "open" or to outside. Dark carpets seem to turn the eye inward, creating a "tunnel" effect and making the picture appear smaller than normal.
