K2 Apache Xplorers, Right size for me?
I currently ski Rossignol B2's 174cm and they are about at the top of my head with no shoes on. I am an expert skier-25 years, nothing on the mountain i cant do or try, 179pds 5' 9'' tall and was thinking of going with 177cm. They come in 184cm, 177cm, and 170cm. I like the fresh back country and tree runs, but I also like ripping down the hard packs and tackling the moguls. What would be the best size for me, 177 or 170? I like it a little stiff and responsive, but must be able to float in the pow!
With today's ski technology, you should be riding skis that are less that your height. I would go with the 170 cm. They will act identically perfomance-wise and will give you great control through your turns. Skis have been getting shorter and shorter to make easier turns and allow your skis to work for you, not against you.

Best of luck,
