If you work in law enforcement, you are sure that eventually faces an important common denominator in the criminal element: the lack of education. Beyond the mere expectations of having a formal college education suitable to build a career, most of the criminal class is not even based diploma high school, and a few more are without even the basics of elementary school.

It is true that a small portion of the base penalty also is raised – we have the so-called white collar criminals and of course, the crimes of the social symptoms as substance abuse and domestic violence happens in all classes. But for the most part, it is remarkable that a clear lack of education is to blame for most of the criminal class to not find a more socially acceptable to make a living.

The difficulty here is that by the time he has acknowledged the problem, it is too late to fix. We can encourage children as much as we do not drop out, but the only ones willing to talk to us are those who have not fallen in the first place. Adults who leave the system that are already showing criminal history records are too fixed in their habits and are unlikely to return to school anyway – especially since the school system is in great hurry to take them.

Maybe we should have schools to enact a "no-release-until-graduation" policy – which is considered absent if not attending school as long as you live without a diploma. Yes, we can stay here all day coming up with a brilliant solution after another.

However, legislation is cast in the school system, as there is no tomorrow, and all in vain. All presidents have launched an ambitious education reform, include all children, strengthen curriculum, hire more teachers, build more schools, better write textbooks. What else can we do? We shovel billions of dollars on the problem, the problem only gets bigger. If we limit ourselves to every dollar raked in a pile and burned, the problems get worse?

While less educated our criminal class is not specific to the United States, the absolute poverty of our system education is compared with other countries. Consistently, in other countries deeply beat our students in competitions. The United States appears in the list of the rankings of the industrialized countries, and here we are on site 12, position 16, position 25. How does this happen? In constant currency, the U.S. spends more and becomes less in their education system than any other industrialized country.

And yet, here is the self-taught. Do not know what an autodidact is? Well, there goes the education system failing people again! A self-taught (it is said in the dictionary) is mostly self-taught, is typically someone who has an enthusiasm for self-education and a high degree of self-motivation to achieve it. This capability has led to the success of many famous and successful people in history.

Autodidactas are particularly common in technology. These people are just educated themselves free in the public library has a computer as soon as she could buy one, to educate themselves on the Internet daily, and picked up a technology-related trade, simply by practicing at home until they got good at it!

Yes, you can take the business school for spreadsheets, but what about just downloading a spreadsheet program for free and read the file Help? People do it every day! Autodidactas fill part of the fall in both output ratio, and those who achieve a degree anyway.

The degree is generally "enough", while the self continues to educate themselves on their own. A related concept is a "scholar", an old expression means the same thing. Imagine if somebody teach themselves higher math just thinking that everything in the paper.

A partial list of self-taught include Ray Bradbury, Andrew Carnegie, Raymond Chandler, Agatha Christie, Walter Cronkite, Philip K. Dick, Charles Dickens, Walt Disney, Thomas Edison, Larry Ellison, William Faulkner, Bobby Fischer, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Henry Ford, Benjamin Franklin, Buckminster Fuller, Bill Gates, Carl Friedrich Gauss, Ernest Hemingway, Jimi Hendrix, Dustin Hoffman, Peter Jennings, Steve Jobs, Michael Keaton, Stanley Kubrick, Ralph Lauren, Rush Limbaugh.

Abraham Lincoln, Steve Martin, William McKinley, Herman Melville, HL Mencken, John Milton, James Monroe, Bill Murray, Florence Nightingale, Penn Jillette Fraser, Edgar Allan Poe, John D. Rockefeller, George Bernard Shaw, Quentin Tarantino, Nikola Tesla, Leo Tolstoy, Harry S. Truman, Ted Turner, Mark Twain, Gore Vidal, Leonardo da Vinci, Walt Whitman, Steve Wozniak, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Chuck Yeager.

It is ironic that some of the same people who rejected traditional education are those who produce much of the work that took place in education institutions as a role model for Students!

There you have it – some people education is not completed, even if it is handed to them on a silver platter, and others will out an education with such dedication that they can do a better job themselves than the most renowned universities.

Clearly, there is a point to education we simply are not getting. Perhaps understanding the factors associated with self-taught lead to a better method of generation-to-day inspiration today to do something more useful with his life.
