Millions of players are in great expectation of the release of rage of the Lich King in WOW. One of many features that these players are anticipating is the new continent of "Northrend". While blizzard Entertainment is keeping a lot of information about this widely expected continent under tabs, there was some info released that players can use to find out more about this continent. In this guide, you'll be exposed to a few of the information that is available regarding the continent of Northrend in WOW. Northrend is the cold, ominous home to the malicious Lich King. The continent is alleged to be extremely icy, and there seems to be dark cloud hanging over the area. This is the area where the Icecrown Citadel is found.
This is the crib of the malicious Lich King. The continent is located in the North. Originally, this area was actually part of Kalimdor. It has been quoted the continent is known as "the roof of the world". Now, it is a total wasteland that broke from Kalimdor due to a break during the "Sundering". This is a world event that happened in Warcraft that reshaped the way that Azeroth looks. This happened after the War of the Ancients, about 10,000 years before where we are now. When the "Well of Eternity" was destroyed, it really led on to the cataclysm. Right at roughly 80% of the general land was wrecked. Now, we are left with just the lands of Kezan, Eastern kingdoms, Northrend, and Kalimdor. The ever-popular "Well of Eternity" is now called "Maelstrom" which is a tough vortex. Northrend drifted up in the cold waters and rested in the North of all the other lands...overtaken by the cold, the snow, the ice...it became the acceptable resting place for the ominous Lich King, thousands on thousands of immense dragons in the area of "The Dragonblight", only they are in the shape of skeletons, and the Nerubians. These are men, but are encouraged by the shadows and are in the forms of spiders. Every once in a while, you may run across a human, or even perhaps a troll...but this is a rare occurrence. In addition to many different regions in Northrend, there are also a number of Dungeons that you can experience on this continent. As you can see here, Northrend is piled high with a lot of engaging regions, dungeons, races, and more. As well as this, it comes with a rich history that is sure to play an imperative role in the present times to establish the way forward for this frozen wasteland in World of Warcraft's rage of the Lich King.
